Protect your critical electrical infrastructure with our KPB385-80 Series Class II/Type 2 Surge Protection Device – a high-performance solution designed for reliable overvoltage protection in low-voltage AC power networks.
Engineered to meet the demands of modern power systems, this SPD handles massive surge currents up to 80 kA (8/20 μs) while maintaining a low protection level of ≤ 1800 V, ensuring sensitive equipment stays safe from voltage transients caused by lightning-induced surges or power switching events.
Featuring a compact modular design, the KPB385-80 includes integrated thermal and overcurrent disconnection, enabling safe, maintenance-free operation. With an ultra-fast 25 ns response time, it instantly clamps dangerous spikes, minimizing the risk of equipment failure, data loss, or service interruption.
Perfectly suited for 230 V single-phase and 400 V three-phase AC installations, the KPB385-80 is the ideal choice for secondary (Stage 2) surge protection in main and sub-distribution boards. It works seamlessly with Type 1 SPDs at the service entrance to create a coordinated, multi-stage lightning protection system.

Residential Electrical Distribution
- Installation must be carried out under power-off conditions. Secure the surge protector KPB385-80 and circuit breaker to the rail respectively, and connect L, N, PE, etc. as shown in the diagram.
- Regularly check the working status of the surge protector. Replace the product immediately if it fails or is damaged.
